Lhasa city the city of wonders is the capital of the autonomous region of Tibet. This prefecture-level city is one among the main administration city in that region. It is split into three partly urban districts and five rural counties. The 3 districts include Doilungdêqên District, Dagzê District and Chengguan District. The history of Lhasa City 

The history of the Lhasa city began when Songtsen Gampo, Tibetan King who conquered the tribes and then united Tibet, changed the capital to Lhasa from Yarlung and also established the Tubo Regime in the 7th century AD. Buddhism spread widely across the city in the 11th century and then grew to be the prominent center where many learned monks came to preach the religion. With Patola Palace at the center and Norbulingkha Palace and Barkhor Street on either side, the ancient city of Lhasa was formed. Over the years, it has grown to become the most mysterious and charming in China. 

The climate of Lhasa City 

The Lhasa Valley is situated at the same altitude to that of the Southern United States. It is also much cooler than that of the Southern United States. The summers are warm in the central valley regions and the temperature is above freezing even during sunny days in winter or the coldest months. It has a semi-arid monsoon and the southern regions are warm and the northern regions are cool.
